Continuing Education

Gain Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours for your professional development, recertification, and relicensure. Here’s what you can earn:

  • Full 3-day convention: Earn up to 15.25 contact hours
  • Prevention Strategies Workshop (limited seating): 2.0 contact hours

This convention is jointly provided by Anthony J. Jannetti, Inc. (AJJ) and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN).

Anthony J. Jannetti, Inc. is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Anthony J. Jannetti, Inc. is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 5387.

Payment Policy, Fees, and Confirmation Notice

Registrations will be processed only when accompanied by full payment. If a check is returned by the bank for insufficient funds, full payment must include an additional $30 for bank processing charges and must be paid with a cashier’s check, money order, or credit card. If payment is not received by the AMSN National Office prior to the convention, you may pay the full amount onsite. If you do not receive registration confirmation one week prior to the meeting, contact the AMSN National Office at 866-877-2676 or e-mail Purchase orders are not accepted as payment. (All fees are in U.S. dollars.)

Cancellations and Substitutions

Cancellations and substitutions must be requested in writing. We will be happy to refund your registration fee, less a $50 administration fee, if received before September 12, 2017. No refunds will be made after that date.

AMSN membership dues are nonrefundable. All other monies will be returned to the party who originally issued payment. If you are unable to attend, a substitution may be made. If your substitute is not an AMSN member, additional fees may apply.

In the event AMSN should find it necessary to cancel or postpone this convention for any reason including but not limited to registration responses, strikes, or acts of God, AMSN will not be liable for registrants’ expenses. In whatever manner the cancellation/postponement is ultimately resolved, AMSN will act responsibly to protect members’ and registrants’ investment in the convention and the association.

Opening Reception, Exhibit Hall, and Poster Presentations

Join us Thursday evening, October 12, 2017, for the Opening Reception. Enjoy light food and beverages as you network and visit with exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall. The vendors will show you how the latest products, technologies, and publications will enhance your practice.

Poster presentations will spotlight your colleagues who want to share what they are doing on medical-surgical units around the world. Posters may be viewed on both Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13.

Be sure to visit the AMSN Booth in the Exhibit Hall and discover more about the association and member benefits. The AMSN Booth also features information from the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB), the affiliate certification organization of AMSN.

Guest Registration for the Opening Reception on Thursday evening, October 12, is $30. Guest badges may be purchased using the registration form or at the Convention Registration Desk onsite.

Photo Release

AMSN occasionally uses photographs of convention participants in promotional materials (print and digital). By virtue of your attendance, you agree to usage of your image in such media. Additionally, any photos made public and shared through the official AMSN Annual Convention App are the property of AMSN and may be used in promotional materials.
